The success of the design for 14th Street is both informed by and highlights the cosmopolitan and urban environment of the neighborhood. The juxtaposition of historic Denver architecture and modern civic and cultural institutions inspired the ArtHouse team to incorporate sleek, modern architectural elements into the design, while evoking the stone and brick façades of many of the neighboring buildings through the use of subtle elements like granite pedestals. This urban branding and wayfinding system has been integral to the vitality of the neighborhood and the development of Downtown as a whole.
