One City Block is a new mixed-use retail, residential and dining development in Denver’s vibrant Uptown neighborhood that encompasses a full city block. ArtHouse Design created a logo for this four-building complex that unifies the communities therein and uses typography to playfully incorporate the number ‘1’ into the words City Block. ArtHouse also designed custom environmental graphic design elements for the entire development, each incorporating one bright, iconic color that is representative of each building. This included interior and garage graphics; interior, exterior and garage signage; wayfinding elements; and unique touches such as a custom-designed ping pong table.

ArtHouse also designed imaginative and colorful ADA-compliant signage for all of the public spaces that bridges the gap between beauty and function. Despite the fact that each building has its own name, colors and identity, ArtHouse designed unifying elements that allowed the complex to feel integrated, while maintaining the individuality of each of its communities. This amenity-rich development also features original copywriting and naming from the ArtHouse Team throughout the development. ArtHouse Design’s involvement in One City Block truly spanned every phase of the project and included custom-designed temporary signage, construction scrim, marketing signage and banners, and a comprehensive sign plan for future tenants.
