Embrace the Charm

Recently, the ArtHouse team took a half day to visit the studio and workshop of our friends over at Ink Lounge for an afternoon of screen printing, beer and creativity. It's always a great opportunity for us to get out of the office to stretch our creative muscles in a new way, exploring the permanence, technique and artistry of printmaking (or serigraphy as it is known to some).

Everyone prepared art ahead of time and when we arrived, Stu walked us through the process of exposing screens, preparing them to be used for printing, how to properly register your artwork and ultimately how to pull beautiful, consistent editions. Everyone had a ton of fun making posters and t-shirts and experimenting with overprinting, metallic inks and printing off register. The team's prints and shirts all looked fantastic and everyone had a great time.
