AIGA Colorado and the Design Council recently hosted a fabulous night of drinks, dancing and design to commemorate its 100-year anniversary as Colorado’s premier organization for art and design professionals. To quote AIGA “With a nod to the founders who provided their own chairs for the inaugural meeting, we're marking this milestone in Colorado with an original selection of chair designs” and with over 100 custom works of art by local and national artists up for auction, this was not an event to miss.
Our very own Marty Gregg was one of the talented creatives selected to submit an original chair and his piece was a widely popular sensation, raising over $375 at auction. The whole ArtHouse team had a great time mingling, sipping cocktails and bidding on some of the beautiful works of art. In total, the ArtHouse team went home with five custom chairs, including two full size chairs, two original prints and one miniature chair. Overall it was a wonderful evening and opportunity to support our local design community. Check out pictures of Marty’s chair below, the chairs we won and photos of the team enjoying themselves on a larger than life chair photo booth.
