Grand Opening of the Sie FilmCenter

Last week, team members from ArtHouse Design attended the Grand Opening of the new Sie FilmCenter at its permanent home, the historic Lowenstein Theater on Colfax. After two years of great anticipation and with the installation of the new signage, wayfinding and placemaking program by ArtHouse, the center truly lit up the block. Awash in the luminous yellow glow of the vibrant LED signage atop one of Denver's premier cultural institutions, local patrons of the arts, charitable donors, press and even the occasional celebrity walked the red carpet, sipped prosecco and admired the new center's new look. The backdrop for the glamorous entry was a vibrant tile of the new identity ArtHouse developed as part of the FilmCenter's brand.

Once everyone had arrived, the party goers listened to speeches by the Lieutenant Governor of Colorado, Joseph Garcia, as well as by Anna and John J. Sie, for whom the center is named. Then everyone gathered to watch the official ribbon cutting, giant scissors and all. There was even a yellow ribbon to coordinate with the building's new signage. After the ribbon cutting, cocktails and appetizers, the guests proceeded to one of the center's plush screening rooms for a conversation with world famous actor Marisa Tomei.

Overall, it was a lovely evening and was such a thrill to see so many people enjoying and celebrating our work. Please stay tuned for more updates about this project.
