Golisano Children’s Hospital Ribbon Cutting

Last week, ArtHouse Design had the great honor and pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting ceremony for the brand new Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Campus in Rochester, New York. After more than two years of diligent work designing the wayfinding, signage, graphics, donor recognition and interactive theming for this brand new, state of the art complex, we were thrilled to see the nearly finished product. As a bonus, it was especially exciting to see the joy our designs brought to the faces of the families and children whose lives are touched and enhanced by this hospital's work.
The ArtHouse Team felt truly inspired by the heartfelt speeches given by the medical staff, patients' families and Tom Golisano himself about this momentous occasion for their community. After working hard to create a space founded on the principle that art heals, it is empowering to see the direct impact it has had already. We can tell the opening of Golisano Children's Hospital will truly have a lasting and positive impact on both the Western New York region and the national pediatric healthcare scene.
After the initial ribbon cutting ceremony, Marty, Beth and Zach enjoyed the reception, as well as touring the hospital and seeing the reactions visitors had to the impactful, colorful and vibrant designs. Over the next few days, the team finalized punch list items before the much anticipated grand opening in July. Check out our photos of the reception (including one of Beth with Tom Golisano) and some sneak peek images of our work below. Stay tuned for further updates and photos of the finished product in the next few months. We can't wait to share it with you.
