The design needed to be respectful and complementary to the building’s architecture and material palette. More importantly, it had to appropriately honor the individuals and organizations whose generosity has supported National Jewish Health’s role in medical treatment and research over the years. It also honors donors for a second, separate campaign recognizing those who contributed to National Jewish Health’s battle in fighting COVID-19.

Working with the hospital’s leadership, ArtHouse presented a variety of sketches, concepts, and ideas that led to creating the winning design. The final installed display artfully refracts light and changes color as you walk around it. It is a nod to, and symbolic of, the “light” that the donors’ giving provided National Jewish Health as they realize their vision for the future.
