Shell Oil Company approached ArtHouse Design with a concept for a brand-inspired store at Houston’s Galleria shopping mall. The driving idea behind the store was homage to the brand’s history and to the American auto industry. Shell was hoping to capture a sense of nostalgia for this important part of American culture, while honoring its history in an accessible way. ArtHouse designed a head-to-toe retail environment that captured this idea with a strong theme, logo and environmental graphics. This encompassed everything from the floor graphics to the department signs, as well as the temporary signage, branding, shopping bags and custom installations. The vibrant, dimensional design earned ArtHouse Design an ADCD Silver Award.
